This is hilarious. I guess Yahoo should be worried because apparently now, no one but google can have a white webpage with a giant search box in the middle of it.
Sounds like we missed the $ boat. We should have patented that idea while printing it on women's panties. One button for a "search" function and one for the "feeling lucky" button.

This is a bad thing because simple html is not something you can copyright. It's dangerous for them to allow that because all you have to do is put up a basic search page to violate their trademark. You can't trademark not being good at website design. Hell, why doesn't microsoft just patent computers? That way no one else will be able to build them.
